Course designed to get started in rock climbing and mountaineering, acquiring and using all the specialized equipment. Rock climbing techniques will be learned and/or refined, as well as the handling of basic sport rock climbing equipment. There are 4 days (normally spread over two weekends) of total immersion in climbing. A very fun and enriching experience, also ideal to meet other people interested in climbing! It is not necessary to have experience or equipment, since the course is aimed at people with little or no experience with rock climbing.

At the end of the course the student will be able to mount and dismount rock sports routes (led climbing), employing proper climbing techniques and using efficiently all the available equipment. You will also learn how to install top rope routes (yo-yo) through the correct assembly of equalized anchors. The student will have the ability to perform efficiently and safely all the needed maneuvers with standardized procedures. This includes setting up routes (leading), top rope, cleaning and rappelling with backup systems. No experience, equipment or fitness required. It only requires desire to learn to climb, taste, respect and love for nature and the mountains!

You will be accompanied at all the time by an experienced professional guide, with extensive knowledge of the Suesca climbing park.
All our guides have more than 12 years of experience as climbers-mountaineers, have international and/or national training as climbing guides and training in first aid in wild and remote areas.
We have bilingual multi-length guides trained in the Professional Climbing Guides Institute of the United States (PCGI) and in the Colombian Association of Mountain and Climbing Guides (ACGME)
